What

NEAR knows the future of AI should be open, participatory, and user-owned. NEAR needed a campaign that broke through the noise and claimed share of voice as a leader in the AI conversation. 
 

How

The challenge? Technologists and consumers felt the cake was baked, how could NEAR AI stand in the way of business as usual? We borrowed a beloved phrase from those who have bucked the status quo and asked our audience to ‘for’ the future that is being decided without them.

Why

Unsettling, Severance meets Wes Anderson cinematic storytelling is so not AI business as usual and was the perfect tool to garner attention in a loud competitive space. The scenarios we created got people thinking, and inspired them to go their own way with the help of NEAR. 
 

We made the case: if AI is going to impact our lives, we’d better have a say in how it’s built, or else. 
 

NEAR tapped Blokhaus to help amplify and position the protocol at the forefront of AI, privacy, and ownership. Together, we launched a global campaign built to educate, inspire, and mobilize. Our expertise in AI, web3, and brand narratives helped reinforce NEAR’s rightful position as an authentic leader in the AI space.

Blokhaus set out to make “Fork That” more than a tagline. At the heart of the campaign was a critical message: the future of AI is being written without you—fork that.

This campaign lives in the uncanny valley between sleek commercial polish and surrealism. The images are clean but strange—intentional distortions, manipulated realities, and visual cues that signal: something’s off. That’s the point. It’s a wake-up call dressed in aesthetic precision.

The campaign spoke directly to ambition. In a world where AI economies are being shaped behind closed doors, we reminded builders, creators, and communities that they deserve a stake in what’s next.

“Fork That” isn’t just a tagline—it’s becoming a rallying cry. We activated it across every channel: paid and organic social, an immersive landing page, email campaigns, in-person event activations, and influencer outreach. 

KOLs received custom “Fork That” boxes, encouraging them to share their moments where they have bucked the status quo. This invitation to amplify the message has started a conversation with the world about decentralized AI. It’s taking off.
