Art Basel
We brought blockchain to Art Basel, capturing the attention of the traditional art world.
This partnership spanned five major Art Basel fairs in 2021-22. In the rapidly-changing worlds of Web3 and digital art, Blokhaus was tasked with getting Tezos art into digital wallets, and in front of a global audience of artists and collectors.

From Hong Kong to Miami, each exhibition merged art, technology and culture into a seamless, digital user experience and stunning gallery space.
Through carefully curated exhibitions, we showcased the works of top digital artists and introduced NFTs in a way that made sense: as a new kind of mechanism for supporting and collecting art. Attendees to Tezos exhibitions minted more than 15,000 NFTs during Art Basel events, proving that the traditional art world is ready for something new.
We enabled attendees to interact with the artwork, even offering them a chance to take a one-of-a-kind piece home. We developed an easy-to-use app that let attendees create digital wallets and receive artwork from featured artists as NFTs, minted instantly, free of charge. We integrated it into a generative exhibition, with full-wall displays that evolved as more pieces were claimed, creating a stunning visual experience that was different for every visitor.
The Tezos exhibitions at Art Basel in 2021-22 challenged many of the preconceptions about NFTs, digital art and blockchain that are familiar to the art world and ignited conversations among collectors and the press.
